Abstract

Islamic banking and finance in the global banking and finance industry, the globe has witnessed the rapid expansion of Islamic banking and finance in terms of its overall size. The field of Islamic banking and finance has a great deal of potential, but it also faces a number of obstacles. These challenges include a lack of infrastructure for Islamic banking and finance, a lack of a strong legal basis, a lack of emphasis from central banks, a lack of Islamic capital markets, a shortage of Shariah legal specialists, and a lack of public awareness. Based on the findings of the study, it was also discovered that research trends in Islamic banking and finance are still lacking and require improvement. The objective of this research is to investigate the Islamic banking and financial industry and to determine the ways in which it might contribute to the advancement of socioeconomic conditions. A review of the existing position, opportunities, and problems, as well as the identification of the best practises that may be used for the development and further strengthening of the Islamic economy, are the goals of this study. In order to accomplish the goals of the study, a comprehensive literature review was conducted using secondary sources of information, which included papers, books, journals, newspaper stories, and websites of state banks and other commercial banks. The expansion of Islamic banking and finance over the long term necessitates this practise.
