Abstract
Professor Ghulam Rabbani Aziz was a multifaceted personality. He was simultaneously a poet, writer, researcher, essayist, translator, critic, biographer, teacher, and religious preacher and leader. He not only had command over Urdu, Persian, Punjabi, Arabic, and English languages but also had a deep understanding of the literature in these languages. There are a large number of his works and compilations. Many of his works have been lost to time. Professor Ghulam Rabbani Aziz chose the profession of teaching. From 1920 to 1933, he fulfilled the duties of a teacher in various schools in the Attock district. From 1934 to 1955, he served as a lecturer at Gujarat College and Emerson College Multan. From 1955 to 1965, for nine years, he rendered services as the principal of Islamia College, Qasur. During this period of life, as an educator, he not only provided education and training to the students but also instilled literary taste in them. . Famous Iqbal scholar Abdul Hameed Irfani, Syed Zameer Jafari and Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi were among his students. Famous poets, writers, and researchers of his era, such as Professor Shirani, Allama Niaz Fatehpuri, and Anayatullah Mashraqi, also had occasional correspondence and meetings with him. You remained an active member of the Mujahideen movement. You had many friends far and near. He was a lover of knowledge, immersed in the love of books, and an extremely precious human being. In this article, his academic and literary services have been briefly reviewed.
