Abstract

Urdu ghazal has a wide experience of expressing emotions and feelings, this genre of poetry has influenced Urdu appreciative minds living all over the world with its style of expression and poetic sensibility. And there is a continuity in the post-modern poetry tradition, after the post-modern ghazal, the Urdu ghazal has now entered the 20th century. In the poetic tradition of Urdu ghazal years and years ago, the poet has spent his life and blood to correct it. It covers the works and contributions of selected Indian poets who have played a role in embellishing the ghazal genre and proving it as the best medium to express human emotions.
