Abstract

Islam is the only religion in the world, which not only glorified the labor, but also defined the rights of workers. According to the Islamic theory of labor, every individual is responsible for participating in the economic struggle. Every person can adopt any halal and legitimate profession. Islam has always recognized the supremacy of the rights of the collective and the whole society over the individual interests. Islam always talks about the rights of workers, cultivators and common laborers against the powerful and dominant classes. Islam discourages feudalism, capitalism, and class supremacy is evident from the lives of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Companions of the Holy Prophet, Saints and the predecessors. Islam appreciates the hard workers and laborers, and treats them with respect. In this article, we will discuss research based study regarding the labor, economics and the wealthy state. We will also find the labor rights in the context of Islamic perspectives. We will try to investigate the importance of connection between labor and economics, and how we can get satisfaction in our life after paying the rights of labors.
