Abstract

The study of the significance of deletion and its effect in the science of Tafser falls within the depth of Qur’anic
studies, so that this study addresses the connotations of deletion, its rhetorical beauty, aspects of linguistic miracles,
and others. The method of deletion in speech is a general linguistic phenomenon common to all human languages, as
its speakers tend to delete some elements for the sake of brevity or delete that listener may be able to understand
based on the accompanying clues, whether real or mental, deletion may also affect some elements of a single word,
causing one or more elements to be omitted from it. In that the great importance of topic has appeared for
grammatical and rhetorical scholars and others. In this article we have presented the concept of deletion in the
science of interpretation, the conditions for deletion, and its reasons. Therefore, we have divided the article into
three points regarding the concept.
